Attend one of these meetings first to get an overview of the adoption process and have your questions answered. Topics covered include cost, how long it takes, and a discussion of the special issues of adopting internationally. ACW is Hague accredited and are able to complete VA and DC home studies. Our next information dates are: Tuesday 6-8pm at our Alexandria office. Dates: June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 21. 8 hour course preparing for international
adoption
Topics designed to help you parent the infant or toddler from an orphanage include: Bonding, Preparing for the Abused Child, Adoption Gains and Losses, and Child Development. This is a great class to take as you seriously consider international adoption or while preparing your dossier.
Classes Scheduled: TBA
$100 for one person, $200 for two adults. Prospective grandparents encouraged to attend at half the cost.
